Bezirksoberliga „Wir kommen“

Die 1. Herren des TuS Sandhorst hat es endlich geschafft. Nachdem das Team aus dem Auricher Stadtteil in der letzten Saison an der Tabellenspitze liegend vom Coronavirus und dem damit verbundenen Abbruch der kompletten Saison heimgesucht worden war, lief es in der aktuellen Saison deutlich besser.

Mit nur einer Saisonniederlage (im letzten unbedeutenden Spiel) setzte sich das Team um Spitzenspieler Heiko Schlake verdient in der Bezirksliga-West durch und darf nun nach vielen Jahren wieder in der Bezirksoberliga Nord antreten.

Grundstein für diesen tollen Erfolg waren die überragende Leistung von Heiko Schlake im oberen Paarkreuz mit 17:1 Siegen sowie die eingespielten Doppel der Sandhorster. So konnten die meisten Gegner sehr deutlich besiegt werden. Zwischenzeitlich hatte das Team saisonübergreifend 13 Punktspiele in Serie gewonnen. Mannschaftsführer Stephan Grüne dankte seinem Team für die tolle Saison und lobte den besonderen Einsatz der Ersatzleute um Edeljoker Karsten Gövert, der mit tollen Leistungen immer zu Stelle war.

Im Herbst heißt es jetzt also in der Bezirksoberliga anzugreifen. Dafür hat sich das Team auch schon eine Verstärkung an Land gezogen. Das Saisonziel heißt natürlich ganz klar Klassenerhalt.
