1. Herren unterliegt dem Tabellenletzten der Bezirksliga mit 5:9

Wie gewonnen, so zerronnen. Diese Erfahrung machte die 1. Herren am vergangenen Freitag in der Tischtennis-Bezirksliga. Letzte Woche noch besiegte man in heimischer Halle den Tabellenführer aus Emden, diese Woche unterlag man doch etwas überraschend dem Tabellenletzten aus Loquard.

 

Gewiss waren es nicht Sandhorster Verhältnisse. Denn die Tische waren extrem langsam und die Halle war sehr kalt. Aber die Niederlage war völlig verdient. Dies lag zum einen an der Kampfkraft des Gegners, der die Chance auf den Klassenerhalt beim Schopfe packen wollte und zum anderen auch an der tollen spielerischen Leistung.

 

Schon die Doppel waren aus Sandhorster Sicht eher suboptimal. Das Spitzendoppel Schlake/Talinski unterlag doch etwas überraschend Folkerts, Jan/Zeiß, Karl-Heinz mit 1:3 und Janssen/Gövert hatten nach 2:0 Satzführung bis zum 10:8 im 3.Satz alles unter Kontrolle. Nach Vergabe von 2 Matchbällen kippte das Spiel jedoch zu Gunsten der Hausherren und die rot/schwarzen unterlagen mit 2:3.
Das dritte Doppel (Grüne/Goldbeck gegen Heerkes/Zeiß, Helmut) bot dann alles was am TT-Sport Spaß macht. Kampfgeist, tolle Ballwechsel, Emotionen und auch eine gehörigen Portion Nervosität. Es ging während des gesamten Spielverlaufs hin und her, ehe die Sandhorster nach Abwehr von 2 Matchbällen das Ding mit 3:2 eintüteten und auf 1:2 verkürzten.

 
Im oberen Paarkreuz unterlag anschließend Janssen dem stark aufspielenden Janssen mit 1:3. Zum besseren Verständnis, der Loquarder Spitzenakteur gewann. 😉
Grüne verkürzte gegen den Abwehrspieler Folkerts, Ulrich durch ein lockeres 3:0 wieder auf 2:3.

In der Mitte gab es an diesem Tag Kampfspiele par excellence. Ein stark aufspielender Gövert besiegt Folkerts, Jan mit 3:1 während Schlake Heerkes mit selben Resultat unterlag.

Im unteren Paarkreuz gab es erneut Dramatik pur. Talinski musste sich dem sehr sicher agierenden Zeiß, Karl-Heinz geschlagen geben, während Goldbeck seine Performance vom Doppel wiederholte, im Entscheidungssatz erneut Matchbälle abwehrte und schlussendlich triumphierte.

 

Im Spiel der Spitzenspieler unterlag Grüne anschließend in 5 umkämpften Sätzen dem Loquarder Janssen. Der Sandhorster Janssen erzielte im 1. Satz gegen Folkerts, Ulrich keinen Punkt und unterlag 0:11. Nach kurzer Findungsphase drehte er jedoch das Match und siegte mit 3:1.

Das war es leider auch schon mit der Sandhorster Herrlichkeit. Gövert unterlag Heerkes nach Führung im 5. Satz noch mit 2:3. Schlake fand gegen Folkerts, Jan nie so richtig ein stimmiges Konzept und unterlag mit 1:3.

Den 9 Punkte der Loquarder besorgte Zeiß, Helmut der Talinski mit 3:1 niederkämpfte.

 

So steht am Ende eine 5:9 Niederlage in Loquard, die zwar Einige überraschen mag, aber vollkommen verdient gewesen ist. Glückwunsch nach Loquard zur vor allem tollen kämpferischen Performance.

 

Für Sandhorst geht es am 25.03.2017 weiter. Zu Gast in der heimischen Arena ist der Lieblingsgegner aus Rechtsupweg.
